It was definitely eye-opening for me too in a way. Like I've always thought it would be awful to lose everything — mostly because of the time and effort it took to get everything — but to be on the phone with my parents when they were going from room to room trying to decide what they could actually fit in the car and what was the most important was a crazy surreal moment that I hope never happens again.
